I bought my KIA brand new in 2017. At around 8 or 9 thousand miles, the transmission started slipping when it shifted at around 40mph. It didn’t do it all the time, just once in a while. Now I have 14 thousand miles and it has stopped slipping. Was the transmission just getting broken in or should I take it in for a transmission check?

definitely take it in while you still have warranty

Insist on a repair order being generated

This will come on handy, if the transmission should fail shortly after warranty expires
