I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM - GRINDING NOISE - BEEN TO SHOP 2x NOW GOING ON A 3RD - WILL THIS CAUSE ANY ADDITIONAL DAMAGE TO THE 4 WHEEL DRIVE

Even though your Ford Service dept is computerized, I would keep all hard copies. You could try a different dealer since you have a couple of more years on your warranty. If still not corrected, elevate the problem as shown in your owners manual.

That has got to be the worse grinding ever. It got so bad that this poor @THOMPSON51 has gone deaf and always has to SCREAM now!!!

Is it only grinding while in 4wd, and what are the driving conditions if so?
