# 2017 Ford Escape Coolant in the combustion

My 2017 Ford Escape with Eco Boost is leaking coolant into the cylinders and has caused issues with the engine. I am told it now needs a new engine. I have 75,800 miles on it. I never got a notice that this vehicle is on a recall list or that there is and has been an issue with the coolant leak. How can I get Ford to cover the cost of the repairs?

There are 2 safety recalls that may apply to your vehicle, neither one is for engine repair/replacement.

A warranty extension was issued for engine short block replacement, that expired November 30, 2022.

At the bottom of the attached document for the expired customer satisfaction program you will find the customer notification letter and contact information to Ford customer relationship center.
