# 2016 Jeep Cherokee - Bad AM

AM radio has terrible reception in afternoon & evening hours.

Many AM stations cut back their broadcasting power when the sun goes down so as to not interfere with the clear channel stations that can be heard over many states at night. At my house in the Buffalo area I can listen to Boston, Cincinnati, Richmond Detroit and some nights even New Orleans stations.

Streaming the stations would probably give you better quality if that’s an option.
