occasionally engine idles at about 850 rpm and truck has lack of power and gas mileage drops ---

I had that problem on an old 1985 Cadillac 4.1 and the replacement computer cost me $100. Oh well. I hope yours can be diagnosed for free under warranty. Nothing like the old solid state electronics. ---

how often does this occur? Are you aware of when your truck is doing a regeneration, and cleaning the soot out of the DPF filter? Could this be what is going on? ---
