# 2015 Subaru Legacy - scary cold startup noise

cold startup noise is scary…why would any manufacturer allow a car from the factory to sound like this?

Don , your vehicle is almost 5 years old so it did not just come from the factory . If you want some help describe the noise , tell how long you have had this vehicle and what you have done to fix this noise.

Just to scare the daylights out of YOU! Subaru is out to get you! 😈

Seriously, though… did this just start or has it always done this? If it has always done this why complain here 5 years later? Why not complain to the dealer?

If this is a new phenomenon on a five year old car, I would suspect lack of maintenance.  
Manufacturers can not control what happens after a product gets into the hands of the consumer.
