Drivers side motor mount started leaking and transmission started jerking- towed to garage. Was told that a long backlog for this part. Maybe available by October 23TH. Seems that the lot is filled with new vehicles but no parts available to keep a regular customer’s vehicle back on the road.

Sounds like you’re implying the dealer could take a motor mount off one of the brand new vehicles on the lot?

Uh, no.

You could also take the Jeep to an independent mechanic. Unless there’s a warranty involved, there’s no reason a local mechanic couldn’t replace a motor mount. And probably sooner and for less money.
