check engine light keeps coming on. Car is also seriously under powered. This the last Jeep product I will ever own.

The check engine light is trying to tell you something is not right. If you are in the US have AutoZone read the codes . Post them here and one of the many fine mechanics might be able to guide you on a good path. How long have you had this Jeep product ?
