# 2015 Chevrolet Cruze - Help! Key is stuck

My car battery apparently died and when I went to start it my key got stuck in the ignition. I am just going to replace the battery but how do I get the key out for the time being?

There is a lock release lever in the steering column that will allow you to turn the ignition to the “lock” position and remove the key.

_If charging or jump starting the_  
_battery does not work, locate the_  
_hole below the ignition lock. Insert a_  
_flat bladed tool or another key from_  
_the key chain into the opening._  
_When the lever can be felt, actuate_  
_the lever toward the driver, and_  
_remove the key from the ignition._
