not great fuel mileage and keep getting particulate filter code. only 65,000 miles 2014 Sportwagen TDI. ---

If you are getting a particulate filter code, go have it fixed. That is the reason for poor performance. ---

Suggest to not defer on this repair. If the engine is running overly rich, that can lead to both DPF & EGR problems. Worse, it can damage the turbo. Something best avoided. Ask your shop to verify the pcm knows the correct engine coolant temperature, and intake air temperature. Also check the glow plug function.
