Toyota, Chrysler, Jeep, GM, I’ve seen it on many makes.

If this were an unusual problem there wouldn’t be sockets that are .5mm larger, designed to remove the nuts when a standard lug wrench will no longer fit over the nut.

Swollen lugnuts

Has anyone ever heard of “swelling lugnuts”? My wife took her car to tire shop for tire rotation and they told her the lugnuts were swelling and needed replacement, of which they could/would happily do for $35. Really???
