The extended warranty is with National Auto Care. I understand they would not want to make repairs due to lack of maintenance, but frustrating that it doesn’t protect against more when buying used.

Yet another example of why these warranties are often worthless. I’m sorry this isn’t helpful for you, but maybe it’ll save somebody else some $$$.
