Have the problems with the 2014 Chev Trax engine problems been fixed. ? Other problems ? winter starting when parked outside in Ottawa area?  
? Suggest better option for similar size vehicle

What engine problems are you referring to?  
If you are looking to buy ANY used car, pay to have it checked out by a mechanic.
