# 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 - Belt squeal

started up 2014 silverado heard a what sounded like a belt squealing. Drove about 50ft noise stopped then heard a rattling noise then the engine shut off. Restarted but same noise and engine shut off. This happened about 4 times before i shut everything off.

Have you checked to see if the serpentine belt is still there?

checked it out today. air compressor is locked down. 47,000 miles. thanks for response.
