My Jetta ( unleaded, automatic transmission) has stalled on me 3 times. It was gone days between stalling. Each time it has stalled I was stopped and on level surfaces. Two of those times it was in park and once it was in drive. Twice I was able to restart the car immediately and once it kept stalling each time I tried to restart it. I waited about 20 minutes and was able to restart it. The system said that the oil viscosity is incorrect but they replaced the oil. Honestly the dealership mechanic seems to have no idea that is wrong. So does anyone have ideas on the issue.

When my VW Rabbit had this symptom, it was the fuel pump relay. Suggest to check that part. Other problems might be a problematic fuel pump, a crank position sensor, or ignition module.

Stalling problem and the system ( what system ) said oil was wrong and replaced it. That is pure nonsense.

You car actually said the oil viscosity was wrong? or do you mean the dealer said that?

Either way, that has nothing to do with the car stalling.
