If I park my Prius V for 4 months with a trickle charge on the 12 Volt Batt. Will the main Batt. be ok?

Yes it should be OK. The big battery is lithium ion that does not self discharge like the little 12 volt lead acid starter battery.

I’ll say maybe ok, here’s what the manual says:

“As the gasoline engine charges the hybrid battery (traction battery), the
battery does not need to be charged from an outside source. However, if
the vehicle is left parked for a long time the hybrid battery (traction battery) will slowly discharge. For this reason, be sure to drive the vehicle at
least once every few months for at least 30 minutes or 10 miles (16 km).
If the hybrid battery (traction battery) becomes fully discharged and you
are unable to jump-start the vehicle with the 12-volt battery, contact your
Toyota dealer”

So it depends what ‘every few months’ means. The trickle charger on the 12V battery won’t affect the main battery one way or another. You might post this on a Prius forum, I imagine someone there has experience with this.

A maintainer would be better than a trickle charger, a trickle charger may not have the brains to stop charging the battery as needed.

2013 Prius uses a Nickel-metal Hydride high voltage battery, Lithium-Ion began in 2016.

A battery maintainer is used in that application.

Not a trickle charger.

I am concerned about the main batt., not the 12 volt.

Then texases’ quote from the owners manual applies. Read your own, in case it is different for your version of the car.

Prius is about the most bullet-proof and durable car out there, in my opinion.
