# 2013 Nissan Sentra - is heat shield necessary?

They don’t put heat shields on for no reason. Some protect other components and fluids which are affected by excessive heat, they protect wiring and protect the interior from heat and heat damage. They are easy and cheap enough to replace so it might as well get done.
