I just had my 2013 Kia Forte engine replaced and when I picked it up from the dealership it was making a noise when I hit the gas pedal. I took it back and they said I need a new intake manifold. Why would this noise start after the engine was replaced if it was the intake manifold? Also, if I point the car in park and press the gas there is No noise. Could this really be the intake manifold? It almost sounds like something wasn’t tightened up properly. ---

I’m with you, I think it is something else, but only the mechanics working on the car can tell for sure. ---

Making a noise? After the long block was replaced? Well, it could be many things. A wind whistle from a big vacuum leak? You need to elaborate on this noise? Can you get more specific?
