Car was losing oil but wasn’t seeing any fluid on the ground. Took it to the dealer and they put a sealer on it. It seemed to help but now i smell a burnt rubber when I’m stopped. I noticed that the heat scale has gone up to right below half way.

Are you saying that they resealed a leaking engine component?

Usually when a customer complains about oil consumption, the oil is changed and a seal is placed on the drain plug, oil cap and dipstick to prevent tampering during the oil consumption test. Has the dealer started an oil consumption test to determine if your engine requires repair?
