# 2013 Cadillac CTS rear view mirror is dark

The rear view mirror seems to be stuck in night mode. It is dark, and won’t change in daylight. The manual doesn’t say anything about having to change it but I have had cars that do. I can’t find any controls for it. Help!

See if there is anything blocking the light sensor on the back of the mirror.

If not, the sensor has probably failed and the mirror requires replacement.
