# 2012 Toyota Camry whistles when braking

My 2012 Camry has 33k miles. After a hard breaking incident, I have a whistling sound that stops after applying the break pedal. I assume that the pads need to be replaced but… the same thing happened at 20k and the dealer replaced all of the pad (my cost).  
I’m a very conservative driver and most of my trips are under five mile with little congestion.  
Is this normal ? Should I expect to do this repair every 20k-30k miles ?

Don’t speculate on the problem. Get the car inspected. Only then will the cause be identified.
