Radio goes off when hitting a bump, then comes back on when another bump is hit. I think it is a short on either power wire or ground wire. Anyone else had this problem?

I am sure that someone has but that does not matter . You have a problem and any good auto stereo shop can determine if the radio has a short or just needs replaced.

It might just be a loose connection on the back of the radio. If you can figure out how to get the radio out of the dashboard and check the cables, you might be able to fix it.
