# 2012 Honda Accord VTC grinding sound

Every morning when I start the car the VTC (variable timing control) has a grinding sound. Not so the rest of the day. Contacted Honda and there is no recall on this model. Can I expect this affect the engine.

Post a sound clip. There is a multitude of noise an engine can produce.
