# 2011 Volkswagen Jetta - How can I get a radio code?

Where can I get a programming code for my 2011 volkswagen Jetta SL radio? Is there someplace other than the dealership?

VW Dealer may want to charge for this info.

You can look in the owners manual and see if someone else has written in in there before. I lucked out like that with a friends Honda.

Hi,  
One of the VW dealers wants to charge $218.00 and another VW dealer wants to charge $120.00 for the radio code. That’s Ridiculous!!

That does seem high. We lost our Honda Fit code a couple times and the dealer re-set it for free.

If there was an easy way to get the security code, it would make having security codes useless.

I found the code on a piece of tape on the back of the radio. I lucked up because it was purchased at a junkyard.
