# 2011 MINI Cooper - Rattles and Clatters

My 2011 mini started making a rattling or clattering sound when it’s running. Sound like plastic in the engine scrubbing against something.

Many, many possibilities. Anything from a loose plastic cover to valve adjustment to loose heat shield.  
You or your mechanic will have to isolate the source of the noise.
