Hello, was the 2011 Hyundai Sonata engine seizure problem ever diagnosed correctly and is there a pre- seizure repair available?

Yes, infrequent oil changes and failure to check the oil level often enough (or at all)

Yes, change your oil more often than Hyundai recommends with good quality oil and filters. Check your oil level periodically and don’t let it get low.

The warranty on these engines has been extended to 10 years/120,000 miles.

There are service campaigns and recalls for these vehicles for the engine problems, they seem to change every 3 months, it is difficult to keep tracked. Visit your dealer to see any apply to your vehicle.
