I just had brand new tires put on and after driving my car in 1 day tire pressure sensor fail light came on.Is this the responsibility of the shop to repair?

Well first you need to make sure all tires are at the proper pressure . You could have picked up a nail and that will be a cost at your expense but really the tire shop is the one to ask this question .

It probably just needs to be reset. First, check check the pressure. Then, see manual. Most cars that vintage have a simple button and a few steps you perform.

If you didnt change the sensors then they are all towards the end of their life and will have to be changed eventually at about $40 a piece plus labor . The batteries are good for about 7-8 years normally .
