Engine light comes on, starts to blink and car will not accelerate. What is wrong?

extremely bad things. when your check engine light is blinking you are misfiring and doing severe damage to the engine and catalytic converter. have the car towed to your mechanics. Don’t drive when the Check Engine Light is flashing
