Has anyone had any issues with the E Brake lever being loose and the “brake” light coming on on the dash?

On almost any cars, when the e-brake handle is loose it can trigger the brake light. Adjust the e-brake until the handle is tight. Low brake fluid as well as a major leak in the system can trigger the brake light.

Yeah i went crazy checking all fluids and for any leaks. The only issue is the slightly loose e-brake. But i had never had this issue in any other car so i was surprised.

Mine does that when the e-brake is loose. Don’t worry about it…keep on driving.

semantics warning:
Chances are your car does not have an ‘e.brake’, but instead has a Parking Brake.

{/end semantics warning}
