# 2009 Infiniti FX35 - Sport mode gone wrong

infiniti FX35…sport option on Trans shifter goes off/on intermittently…Drive works fine but Sport only sometimes…is this a transmission fluid needs to be changed problem?

No idea, but first step if I had that problem would be to rule out electrical system. Battery/alternator shop test.

Very unlikely. This is much more likely to be an electrical/electronic problem. The switch could be bad, or a module, or…

But, if it has been more than 30k miles since the trans fluid was changed, you should have that done in order to prevent _other_–much more expensive–problems.

Sport mode on my 50 year old truck: Get out & push if it runs out of gas …lol .
