Hearing a clanking in the front of the car when I go over a bump and a thumping when I back up and turning the steering wheel hard to parallel park.

Take the car to a mechanic immediately before something falls off or gets loose and tears up a lot of other things.

Is there some reason you have not had this looked at by an independent front end shop. What is going to happen that your vehicle may be hard to steer at highway speeds and the result could be catastrophic.
