It depends on how well it’s taken care of along with some luck. Are you the original owner or are you buying used/looking to buy used?

I was trying to see if it would be worth it to buy it with 90,000 miles on it? Or would I be better off getting something else. I’ve also heard people having the Mitsubishi eclipse last to like 160,000 miles and up, one guy even said his lasted to 257,000 miles.

Which means absolutely nothing compared to the vehicle you are looking at. Have a mechanic look at it and then decide for yourself. I hope you realize that Mitsubishi has one foot in the grave in the USA and the dealer network is getting smaller all the time.

Prior maintenance records (NOT Carfax) will give you a far better idea. Also, a preinspection by **your** mechanic will help your odds as well. Honestly, with _good care_, most engines should easily be able to go 200,000 miles.

@VOLVO\_V70 makes an excellent point to consider, though:

I don’t know how robust the market is for parts for Mitsubishi parts and how long it will be supported.
