Manual or automatic? If automatic and it won’t move when you place it in D first thing in the morning, first check the fluid level. If that’s ok, pretty good chance the transmission needs major service or rebuilding. My Ford truck’s C4 auto trans needed a complete rebuild within a week of when that symptom appeared.
