# 2008 Chevrolet Corvette - Where to begin?

Corvette will not shift out of drive into park. It will shift to Neutral, but not park or reverse.

Let’s be a little more specific:

Does the shift lever move into those positions? Or is it that the transmission doesn’t go into the park or reverse mode when placed in that position?

Are your brake lights working? The same switch, at the brake pedal, that turns the brake lights on and off may also allow or prevent the transmission’s shifting into some gears.
