I recently purchased a slightly used RX350 with 21,000 mi. Whenever I start the engine and begin driving, I can hear a clicking noise like valve lifters. This noise disappears when the temp. gauge reaches normal temp. I called the dealer and they said it was normal for this engine. I wondered if others have the same experience?

We have the same engine in our ES350…and it doesn’t make any noise at startup or any other time. I’m going to say this is NOT normal.

We have a 2008 Lexus RX350 with about 20,000 mi and it does the same thing. I do not believe this is normal.
