Have a 2006 Mini that has a problem with the transmission. It goes into the forward gears but will not go into reverse. The forward gears seem fine at this time. Any ideas?

Standard or automatic? how many miles? any other history of transmission problems?

What is the symptom in more detail. What happens when you try to go into reverse?
