Hello, had a question about the a 2006 mercury milan, is it a dependable car and since it is a discontinued brand would parts and repair be hard to obtain for this car. Any help and advice will be greatly appreciated.

It is identical to the Ford Fusion, so parts are easy to find. As for reliability, check out the Consumer Reports car buyers guide.

About as dependable as any 13 year old vehicle can be . That means it is fine or it is at the door waiting for the repair shop to open. Standard advice here is pay a shop to examine the thing for possible problems and hope for the best.
