There are times when I’m driving and all of a sudden it’s like someone turned the key off. I lose power I am lucky I realize what’s happened and have enough power to coast off the road. Then the dash lights come on. I have to wait a minute or so then the car will start right up and I’m on my way again. It happens so sporadically that I can’t even tell the mechanic what happens just before this episode takes place. I have 91K on my 2006.

Too much weight on your key chain can damage the ignition switch. Your mechanic will help with the information you just gave. Could be a variety of things.
