Every time you drive it. 😏

Seriously, about every 5000 miles just like any vehicle.

This is one of those questions tailor made for Google . A simple search will give you articles from Wikipedia to Michelin .

Agree with you, but on a Subaru proper and timely rotation is crucial to prevent excessive wear on the drive train. The owner’s manual should have very adequate info on that.

I have a Forester as well as having had three other Subies and got even tire wear by rotating every time I change the oil or spring and fall for the ones that had a set of winter tires. No special treatment necessary due to the AWD.

Actually, Subaru provides a separate booklet titled, **Warranty and Maintenance**.
If the OP opens that booklet, he will find that Subaru specifies tire rotation every 7,500 miles.
However, some people do it every 5,000 miles.

The detail that is _vital_ is to have the tires rotated on a _consistent_ basis, so the OP should decide whether he wants to go with every 5k or every 7.5k miles, and then stick to that schedule.
