Engine light just came on my 145000+ mile 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo. No problem otherwise. Please advise.

What is the code? You can have it read out, usually for free, at anauto parts store such as Autozone. Post the codes here.  
The CEL indicates there is a problem that may not be readily apparent to the driver.
