ASAP

Are they, or not? I can push the piston in a bit with just hand pressure, and there does not seem to be any sort of interface to fit a racheting tool into the cylinder.

Remove the rotor. Is there a set of brake shoes? If so you can push the piston into the caliper. But open the bleeder screw first.

No shoes, pads. They are disc brakes.

I thought all Ford rear discs had racheted calipers, but its just the typical cylinder with no tabs to interface with the rachet tool.

I have rotors… they seem to just slip off the hub (with some effort… thats next).
Just wanted to make sure I’m resetting the calipers correctly. So far, the drivers side moves easily with hand pressure.

The parking brake system may utilze brake shoes instead of a ratcheting rear caliper. If that’s the case, there’s no ratchet screw inside caliper to be damaged when the piston is pressed back in.

That was the info I was looking for. They’re all back together.

Thanks, Tester!
