Turn the key ON but not start the car. Pump the gas pedal all the way down and back up 3-4 times. “service Reset” or similar should appear on the driver’s info display. Turn off, start car. Done.

The U.S. spec Lumina was discontinued in 2001. The 2005 Lumina was a rebadged Holden. Similar to the U.S. spec Pontiac GTO. Based on what I’ve read, the SVS light indicates that there is a fault with the vehicle (not necessarily engine related). For the U.S. Spec GTO to reset the light you have to turn the key to “run” (with the engine off) and press the gas pedal all the way down 2 times withing 5 seconds and then turn the key off. You might have to do this more than once.and/or push the gas pedal down more than 2 times. I would imagine the procedure is similar for your car. Keep in mind that if there is a fault, the light will return.
