# 2004 Ford Freestar - gears won’t engage after movement

When the car has moved for like minutes or more the gear refuse to engage.you will have to first put it off and start it again and engage the the gear before it will moves.

Is the Check Engine light on?

And have you checked the level of the automatic transmission fluid?
