I have a 2003 Toyota Camry. I recently noticed that, when on idle, the RPM drop below 1. The attached photo shows the exact value.
I’m not all that knowledgeable with the internal working of vehicles, so I want to know if this is normal or if I need to have this checked out by a mechanic.

Thanks!

Yes, that appears to be a “normal” RPM reading for a warmed-up engine.
As long as the engine is idling smoothly, I see no reason for concern.

If I remember correctly, my car idles around 750 RPM when it’s warm, for what that’s worth.

Mine idles at about 650 RPM, IIRC.

I have a 2007 Camry and it idles around 750. But at a traffic light at that idle speed it sounds like it is going to stall. It never did, and the mechanics never found anything wrong

According to the Factory Service Manual the idle speed should be:
610-710 RPM for cars with an automatic transmission
650-750RPM for cars with a manual transmission.

So you are about normal.
