# 2003 Eclispe

Can someone tell me the difference between the 2.4l muffler and the 3.0 V6 muffler. i seena pic of both of them and they both lool identical to me

Parts pictures or too often just a generic pic.  
In the Auto zone site I see the two pictures do appear the same…but the part numbers are different.  
Ones for a four cyl and the other a six. You can bet the pipes are shaped different at the very least.  
The muffler only choice has the same dementions , body, inlet, outlet, so the difference is internal like back pressure and sound deadening relative to engine size and noise output ( the 4cyl muff weighs more ).  
If you put four cylinder muffler on a six , will it be louder ?..don’t know.
