Hi. I live in the Washington, DC area and have admittedly gone over many potholes and bumps. Something sounded loose under my hood, so when I brought my car to the dealer for an oil change, I asked them to check it out. They said I need a new rack and piston for the power steering, to the tune of $1,200 plus. Does this sound right to peopel? I’ve had all the important services at all the important miles, and I know the city driving isn’t easy on the car, but WOW! And is $1,200 really the right price? Thoughts/ THANKS!
