# 2003 Chevrolet Blazer - do I have to fix the catalytic converter?

What I need my Cadillac converter can I move my Cadillac converter and running straight pipe to the muffler

What you need is a “catalytic” convertor. If you straight pipe the car it is a federal offense and you can be fined many thousands of dollars if caught. The shop that installs the straight pipe can be fined thousands of dollars as well so smart shops won’t.

Fix the car properly. We all breath the same air.
