Is it worth replacing the transmission on a 2002 XC Wagon that is in great shape otherwise? Leather, sunroof? Single Mom with not a lot of money. Bought for 4,500 - two doctors owned it prior. 150,000 miles

You know the car we don’t

Will you be able to get a car that is as nice and as dependable as yours for the cost of a transmission ?

If the car is as good as you say, I would replace transmission.

Here is a [BestRide](http://bestride.com/research/buyers-guide/buyers-guide-when-should-you-stop-repairing-and-buy-new) story that may help you with your decision T. That car is now about 17 years old. My feeling would be, “What’s next.”
