car will not start on occasion-turning the key has no effect. If I wait, with the ignition on, 10 minutes, the car will then start. Appears the security system has a gremlin. How to fix or disable?

I don’t know a thing about security systems so I can’t help there.

But I can suggest that another thing that might cause this is a bad neutral safety switch (automatic) or a bad clutch pedal switch. I’ll assume it is an automatic in which case you can try putting it in neutral to see if it starts then.
