# 2000 Subaru Impreza Wagon whines when accelerating

hey, my cars been making some weird noises, when i accerlrate hard it makes a kind of whining noise and when i let off the gas it seems to stop, i think this is something to do witht the transmision, is it bad?

It ain’t good. 😉 Seriously, have you checked the transmission fluid lately? When was the last time it was changed? It could also be the differential but whatever you do, don’t ignore it. Have a good independent transmission shop look at it and have your wallet handy. Also think about how much you want to spend on a 21 year old car.
